Long-term investment protection: 25-year warranty and durable GaN-based electronics.

BRC Power Optimizer M600-E

The BRC Power Optimizer M600-E is a module optimizer for PV systems with a maximum input power of 600 W and peak efficiency of up to 99.5%. It increases usable yield even when individual modules are shaded or installed with different orientations or tilts. With its compact size (78 × 145 × 22 mm) and pre-assembled connectors, the optimizer can be quickly integrated into new or existing strings. Installers, distributors, and operators benefit from high efficiency, reliability, and long-term future-proofing.

Functions & Installation

The M600-E works as a DC/DC converter in parallel with the module. When shading occurs, it is automatically activated by the inverter, reduces module voltage, and increases the current to the string level, ensuring that available power is still fed into the PV system. Ultra-fast MPP tracking reacts up to 20 times faster than conventional systems, securing high yields throughout the day.

Installation is plug-&-play: first connect the short leads to the module, then the long leads to the string. Stäubli MC4 connectors are standard (input/output: 0.16 m / 1.20 m). With IP68 protection and an operating range from −40 °C to +85 °C, the optimizer is designed for demanding outdoor use. Compliance with IEC 62790 and IEC 62109-1/-3 guarantees the highest safety and quality standards.

Design notes: Do not install in parallel strings. For inverter input currents (IMPP) > 16 A, no more than 50% of the modules in a string may be equipped with optimizers. The current compatibility can always be checked with the BRC Inverter Checker. Additional technical data: absolute max. input voltage 70 V (−40 °C), input voltage range 16–70 V, rated current 16 A, short-circuit current 20 A, maximum system voltage 1000 V.

Dimensions: 78 × 145 × 22 mm, weight approx. 420 g, conductor cross-section 4.0 mm². Before connecting to the inverter, it is recommended to measure the open-circuit voltage with a voltmeter to verify correct operation.
