Introduction

The Enwitec BAT BREAKER (Art. No. 10019871) is a battery protection device for high-voltage energy storage systems. It has been specifically developed for use with BYD Premium storage systems of types HVM, HVM+ and HVB. With a rated voltage of 1000 VDC and a recommended continuous current of 50 A, the BAT BREAKER ensures reliable and safe protection of batteries in photovoltaic installations.

Features & Installation Notes

The BAT BREAKER is equipped with circuit breakers featuring K-characteristics, ensuring reliable tripping in case of a fault. It supports the connection of up to three storage units and one battery charger/inverter. Connections are made via spring clamp terminals with a conductor cross-section of 0.5–25 mm².

The polyester (GRP) housing complies with protection class II and is designed for indoor use (IP30). Weighing approx. 6.5 kg and intended for wall mounting, the unit is compact and easy to integrate. M20 cable glands according to EN 62444 are provided for safe cable entry.

Installation is straightforward thanks to the included cable glands, cover caps and clear manufacturer instructions. Note that the recommended continuous current of 50 A must not be exceeded.
