The Fronius Symo GEN24 8.0 Plus SC is a versatile hybrid inverter from the latest Fronius generation for modern photovoltaic systems with storage. With 8 kW AC output, two MPP trackers and a maximum PV generator power of 12 kWp, it is ideal for medium to large single-family homes, especially for roofs with different orientations or multiple module arrays. Thanks to its IP66 protection rating and an ambient temperature range of -25 to +60 °C, the inverter can be installed flexibly indoors or outdoors.
New SC version with more power and flexibility
The new SC version ("Superior Current") was developed specifically for the current generation of high-performance solar modules. With a maximum input current of 28 A on the first and 14 A on the second MPP tracker, even modules with high currents can be connected without any problems, allowing for even more flexible system design. The integrated Active Cooling technology also ensures a long service life.
The MPP voltage range of 80 to 800 volts allows a wide variety of PV modules to be used. For storage integration, the inverter supports compatible high-voltage batteries such as the Fronius Reserva, the BYD Battery-Box HVS/HVM and HVS+/HVM+, and LG FLEX. The PV Point provides an integrated basic emergency power supply of 3,000 VA. The optional Full Backup function supplies the entire household with three-phase power of up to 8,000 VA (additional grid-switching components required). Via WLAN, Ethernet and RS485 as well as open interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, the inverter integrates easily into existing energy management and smart home systems.
