The Weidmüller PV Next fireman switch PVC DC 2I 1O 2MPP RD SPD1R WM4 11 combines reliable Type I+II surge protection with a remote shutdown function for rooftop photovoltaic systems. It disconnects the DC lines directly at the building entry, enabling firefighters to operate safely in case of fire. Once the grid supply is restored, the unit automatically reconnects the PV strings to the inverter .
Features & Installation notes
Rated for up to 1100 V DC, the switch supports two MPP trackers with two inputs and one output each. Integrated Type I+II surge arresters provide discharge capacity up to 40 kA (8/20 µs) and lightning impulse current up to 6.25 kA . WM4C connectors allow quick and secure wiring for 4–6 mm² conductors. The control input operates with 100–250 V AC.
The glass fiber reinforced polyester housing is IP65 protected, impact-resistant IK08/IK10 and designed for wall mounting. With dimensions of 238 x 300 x 132 mm and a weight of 5.0 kg, it offers a robust and installation-friendly solution .
